All about the oil
Making an exceptional quality olive oil is not rocket science, but impossible if you try to cut corners. Every stage of the process needs care and commitment.

Making Namir Special
Love the trees
We searched far and wide for the finest saplings of the finest cultivars suitable to the Egyptian climate. And we care from them deeply, from watering to pruning.

Harvest with care
Our olives are hand-picked by local farmhands under the strict supervision of Khaled (who even insists that fingernails are clipped in order to avoid damaging the olives). All contaminants are eliminated, the olives are sorted and inspected on site before being sent to press within hours of picking.

Press cold.
Press quick.
We cold-press the daily batches of picked olives daily, ensuring that no more than a few hours at most have passed from tree to press.

Exceptional Quality
Our process pays off. Namir boasts a finely balanced palette of fruity, bitter and peppery notes, fresh, smooth, and herbal. It has exceptionally low acidity, just 0.16% (see our certification below). That's five times below the international threshold for extra virgin olive oil.
